Section O. Verification of Estimated Shared Costs

The Verification of Estimated Shared Costs section is completed in cases where libraries share spaces and/or services/items with a municipality or other agency.

A Verification of Estimated Shared Costs Form must be completed by the municipality/agency to include these costs as part of the library’s local financial effort.

  • Items/services listed on this form are to have been purchased or paid for on behalf of the library. These services/items are partially used by the public library and are generally billed in one statement for both entities. The estimated shared cost of the portion used by the public library is to be reported on the Verification of Estimated Shared Costs form.

  • Upload the form with the following file name structure - AR-SD-Your District Name-Your Library Name-Reporting Year-VESC.pdf
    • Example: AR-SD-Aliquippa-Baden-2024-VESC.pdf

  • Ensure that the amount listed on the form matches the amount entered into the data input cell.

  • The form can be digitally signed by a municipality or agency. To do so save the file and email it to the necessary recipient.

  • Ensure that all necessary information is reported. This includes the library information at the top of the form, all individual costs, total costs, municipal/agency information, and signature.
