Section I. Library Board

This section reports information concerning the library board.

Both calendar year and fiscal year libraries should report library board information as of the date the report is being completed.  

Things to remember when completing this section:

  • Municipal Libraries – provide the information for the library’s advisory board if you have one, if not, complete with the governing board information.

  • Non-municipal libraries – provide the information for the library’s governing board.

  • If the board president position is vacant, list another officer of the board with the office title after the name.  Example: Joe Smith – Secretary.

  • Board member personally identifiable information is not publicly shared.

  • This section is being reviewed for completeness only and will not be flagged for any discrepancies.

How Many Library Board Positions are Specified in the Library's By-laws? (Provide a range, if necessary)

Report the number of library board positions specified in the library's by-laws.  Enter the number of voting members only.

Report the current number of voting library board members, including officers. Report members as of the date the report is completed.

Does the library board have board members appointed by contributing municipalities?

Municipalities are defined as county, city, borough, town, township, or any school district of the second, third or fourth class which establishes or maintains a local library.

Report the number of voting library board members appointed by contributing municipalities. Municipalities are defined as county, city, borough, town, township or any school district of the second, third or fourth class which establishes or maintains a local library.

List the name of the board president as of the day this question is being completed. If the board president position is vacant, list the vice president or secretary of the board with the office title after the name.  Example: Joe Smith - Secretary
