BLD's Accessible Adult Services Advisor provides advice and counsel to library staff, library trustees, and others on inclusive and accessible adult services (including but not limited to veterans, older adults, incarcerated people, and people with disabilities) and workforce development services for all adult library users. Develops and administers LSTA-funded projects, grants, and initiatives that focus on accessible library services for adults.
BLD's Keystone Grants and Library Facilities Advisor provides advice to and counsels librarians, trustees, and municipal officials on topics relating to their physical library facilities. Develops and promotes educational opportunities relating to physical library facilities. Administers the Keystone Grants for Public Library Facilities program which competitively awards funding for projects improving the Commonwealth's public library buildings and LSTA -funded projects, grants, and initiatives for library facilities.
BLD's Operations and Relationships Advisor provides advice to libraries throughout the Commonwealth on the improvement of library services with specific emphasis on guiding libraries in operations and relationship building. Works to develop, plan, promote, and implement the Bureau's operational and relationships programs, including but not limited to policy making, management best practices, job descriptions, conflict resolution, strategic planning, building collaborations and relationships with municipalities and other stakeholders for all types of libraries in the Commonwealth. Develops and administers LSTA-funded projects, grants, and initiatives that focus on library operations and relationship building.
BLD's Professional Development Advisor provides advice on and provides opportunities for professional development for libraries throughout the Commonwealth. Works to identify learning needs of public, school, academic and special libraries and connect staff, volunteers, and board members with institutional partners, national and state library associations, and other organizations that may help meet training objectives. Develops and administers LSTA-funded projects, grants, and initiatives aimed at meeting professional development and continuing education goals.
BLD's Youth Services Advisors offer guidance to local libraries on enhancing their services for youth in their communities. They coordinate and facilitate meetings for district youth leaders, topic-specific communities of practice, and steering teams aligned with youth developmental ages. Work closely with other agencies to exchange information and best practices for serving children and youth ages 0-18. Develops and administers LSTA -funded projects, grants, and initiatives aimed at serving children and youth ages 0-18.
