The Library Access budget line within the state budget provides support to several critical components of library service in Pennsylvania including the POWER Library and Interlibrary Delivery Service.
The Interlibrary Delivery Service of Pennsylvania (IDS) is a member organization of libraries committed to providing a cost effective and efficient delivery service linking public, academic, school, and special libraries to support timely resource sharing throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
The POWER Library is the online portal to all that Pennsylvania libraries offer. It is here that all Pennsylvanians can locate the statewide catalog of library resources as well as the electronic resources acquired by the Commonwealth for all. Interlibrary loan and Chat with a Librarian, Pennsylvania's statewide 24/7 live Chat reference service, are supported through this funding. These resources are available to Pennsylvanians for free.
